In a Catalan primary care center using eCAP, Tandem would work during the consultation to capture the conversation between clinician and patient and draft the corresponding clinical note. Once connected, this documentation would be placed directly into the patient's record in eCAP rather than requiring manual entry afterward.
eCAP (Estació Clínica d'Atenció Primària) is the electronic medical record system used across Catalonia's primary care network, developed and operated by the regional government's health department (Generalitat de Catalunya). Since its introduction in 2001, it has expanded to cover the region's primary care centers as well as many hospital, outpatient, and mental health facilities, and it links with Catalonia's shared health record and e-prescription systems. An integration between Tandem's AI scribe and eCAP would enable clinical documentation to transfer directly into the medical record system.
