Deutsche Telekom, LG Technology Ventures and Norrsken join Tandem Health

Alongside our Series B, three strategic investors have joined Tandem Health: LG Technology Ventures, Norrsken VC and T.Capital, the strategic investment arm of Deutsche Telekom.

We chose each of them for a reason.

Why these three

Each one brings something that gets us further, faster in our mission to bring healthcare into the AI era. All three already work inside the health systems we want to reach, and all three have experience of scaling health technology.

Europe should set the standard for how AI enters its healthcare. That takes partners who understand how European health systems work.

T.Capital manages Deutsche Telekom’s strategic investments and pairs capital with access to the group. The group contains T-Systems, which develops medical record systems that are deployed in over 250 hospitals to more than 100,000 users. Tandem further strengthens the position of Deutsche Telekom and T-Systems in the growing market for digital health.

Germany is one of the most demanding markets in Europe for clinical AI, with a fragmented landscape and the highest bar for data protection. We’re already building there, and T-Systems’ footprint in German hospitals means we can move faster.

LG Technology Ventures is LG’s venture capital arm and invests in companies that can scale through the group’s technology and global reach. LG serves care providers across Europe with various products. For Tandem, that means a partner who is already in the clinics we are building for and a door into care providers we have not yet reached.

Most healthcare software is chosen by administrators and tolerated by clinicians. Tandem is built the other way around: half of the company clinicians, three products are certified as medical devices and 10,000 care organisations across 14 markets use the product. Europe is critical for the next decade of clinical AI, where the data rules are the strictest and the clinical shortage is most acute. Lukas and the Tandem team are building an enduring company and we are excited to partner with them on this journey.

Norrsken VC is Europe’s largest early-stage impact fund, backing founders who are solving the hardest problems. Every company it backs gets its own set of impact KPIs. Health is one of its four core sectors.
