Changes to Tandem’s board of directors

Tandem Health announces that changes have been made to its board of directors, following the closing of its $100 million Series B, in which the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, takes a seat at the table alongside existing investor Kinnevik.

Nils Petter Nygaard joins the board on behalf of the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT. Tandem is the fund’s first investment in healthcare, which was created by the European Commission to back Europe’s most ambitious technology companies as they scale into global leaders. Nils Petter’s seat marks EQT’s entry onto the board.

As Tandem moves into its next growth phase, Kinnevik’s board responsibility transitions to Christian Scherrer. Christian heads Kinnevik’s Health & Bio area, and takes a board seat as part of that role. He has built Kinnevik’s healthcare portfolio since 2014, bringing deep expertise in healthcare and medtech, with investments of nearly $1 billion in companies including Cityblock, Cedar, Transcarent and Spring Health. Christian succeeds Cristina Stenbeck as member of the board of Tandem Health.
